Happy Shapes Shaping Up
The Texas Department of Transportation has approved the Happy Shapes project for the Gateway To The Arts District Ross Avenue underpass conditionally, depending on actual placement of the “shapes” to be located behind the concrete traffic barriers which align on Ross. The Public Arts Committee unanimously approved the plans and it is expected to go before the Cultural Affairs Commission this month and the Dallas City Council in October.
Meanwhile, the cactus plants continue to bloom in the rock gardens. The northern sides of the frontage roads are being mowed regularly as well.
Once the weather improves, a community clean up date will be announced.
