Bryan Place Well Represented at “Dallas Complete Streets”

We would like to thank the Bryan Place residents who were able to attend the “Complete Streets” meeting held last month at the Nasher to discuss ideas for making Ross Avenue more pedestrian friendly.
Several ideas were mentioned, but lighting, wider sidewalks, and cross walks seemed to be the recurring theme.
There was concern that the new Icon At Ross Avenue apartments are too close to the street with narrow sidewalks. However, at eight feet wide, it is actually wider than some newer sidewalks in the area along with much needed landscaping and lighting.
The focus of the meeting was on setting design standards for the future, not zoning changes. Some ideas could be implemented over the next several months. We will keep you informed of follow up meetings.
